The gasket is metal and I think mine has been replaced once years ago when the alternator was fixed, have opened the cover many times and no issues with the gasket, using the same one still.

Even with a good battery the bike sometimes has difficulties to start. If I kill the bike during a difficult track in the forest, I might have to wait for the fan to stop to get enough power to start...

The BCEF (BMW Clubs European Federation) is going to mention this issue with the G450X parts availability at the council meeting. BMW should provide parts for all bikes that are not over 15 years old...

I have complete G450X throttle bodies or parts for it if you're looking.

Checked some old readings from two different bikes, idle actuator position 18.15 (1717rpm) and 28.80 (1654rpm), engine load 31% for both. Not sure what it actually should be?

I'm sure I have those, maybe not a license plate holder available, but I think you find a cheaper solution locally than sending parts from Finland.

Have you checked the wiring, can you push start the bike? Where are you at? I probably have a spare starter relay.

Yes, the chain also looks a little worn, but no extensive stretch yet, so I'll install a new chain when I change the sprockets.

Noticed, when cleaning the chain, that the lock nearly had failed. Close call [:0]

What kind of chain locks do you use, the one with with the locking pin or rivet type?

I have a couple subframes in stock if you like to reinforce a set and still keep originals untouched.

The safari extra tank is connected to the vent and the fuel is just transferred by vacuum from the extra tank that has the balancing ventilation, that is how the safari works and no additional pump...

That is how it goes from the safari tank also with the breather hose, even though the fuel support from the safari is from the bottom of the tank, cannot see where the hose starts from your extra...

10 000 km is quite a lot but not if service and piston change has been done according to schedule.

Just looking at the video I cannot see anything wrong, just that exhaust, I would change it :-)

I would even consider just having the original plastic bash plate
