I came across one of these one day in an old dairy on a farm near Gympie.
I initially thought it was an Aston Martin, but it just didn't look right.

You should have liberated it, Steve! It's a Gordon Keeble, one of 100 made in the UK (of course) from 1964. With a 327 Chev motor, it must have been a pretty spectacular in its day. Company went to the wall like so many other Brit lost causes - Peerless, Bristol, Lagonda, Healey, Riley, et al. Surviving good examples are starting to bring good money these days.

Going by the owner's club in UK there's only 2 in Aus.
and the owner was too passionate about it and it was when I was young and broke, instead of old and broke like now.

Here is a nice clean 1963 (according to the front license plate) Dodge Dart convertible.

Visited the Cars & Croissants (hey it's Summit...) in Summit NJ yesterday. Some very fine hardware. Here's a sampling.

Not much going on in the way of interesting cars in the parking lot at Alice's Restaurant lately. These are the best I could find today. A bit of a contrast, though.

Yesterday it was a nice looking Bug-eye Sprite, a row of garish-looking over-powered Dodge things with wings and an interesting-looking Kansas race car. Quite a contrast.

I've always liked the idea of a bug-eyed Sprite, but they are now stupid money! It does look a nice example, but of course it should be Green. Well that is how I remember them.

I agree. I thought the blue wasn't quite the right color, but it was a very nice paint job.

But that blue isn't a very pastel color. I have never been a fan of pastel colors, especially when they are chosen for a BMW motorcycle, as BMW was doing some years ago. That Sprite was a baby-blue pastel.

They could always paint a pastel pink or green paisley pattern over it.

Here is a nice clean Alfa Romeo race car that was parked next to a couple of new Ferraris - one with a Beverly Hills dealer plate. So I took some photos of the Alfa.

I caught a couple of cool old cars parked at Alice's Restaurant today. A 1960 Corvette convertible and a wedge-shape 1989 Ferrari coupe (it says so on the license plate).

This very nice Morgan made it up to Alice's Restaurant today. I bet it doesn't get out much.

I love Morgan's too. they are made like the Riva boats, with a wooden chassis. that one is the model "4/4". I really like the "3 Wheeler", it was their first car model and they still produce it.

I had a 1954 +4 with the Vanguard engine in BRG with slab petrol tank and twin spare wheels. I wish I had it now as there is no way I could afford it now!

It had a blow up driver's seat that slowly deflated until I found myself sitting on the wooden seat base craning my neck to see over the steering wheel. I used to dip the petrol tank with my officer's cane, (the petrol gauge didn't work) , which the RSM took exception to as it changed colour. It cost me a new one.

I had many an adventure with it, but some will remain private to me.

The 3 wheeler is my choice, if I could have one.
You may be surprised to know the current 3 Wheeler was the idea of a sidecar builder in Seattle. Morgan liked his idea so much they purchased the rights to his design and that is way you have the current model.

While I had a +4, I think BSA had a better designed three wheeler. The Morgan had chain drive to the rear wheel whereas my '32 BSA had front wheel drive with semi elliptic spring suspension. It had a transmission front brake which never wore out as my gearbox output seal leaked and kept it well lubricated..........

I also had a BSA 3 wheeler which I bought for £35 in 1956. Driving on a motorcycle licence meant that reverse gear had to be blocked off, a fairly easy mod by drilling and tapping the gearbox and screwing in an allen bolt to stop the reverse engaging. Turning round in the road was OK if you were facing uphill or downhill. Just let the car roll forwards or back into a side street and drive away again. Failing that get out and push it round.
I started courting my wife in AVK 400 as she didn't like motorbikes.
This year we celebrate our Diamond wedding anniversary all being well, so I have very fond memories of the little 3 legger BSA.
I remember the poor transmission brake, the gravity feed petrol tank and missing valve covers which sprayed the engine with oil.
    Maps are OK but.
They don't record just whereabouts you were lost!

another clarifying example of the competence in matter of the lawmakers, obviously who wrote that law had never driven a car or a motorcycle... well, in Italy the lawmakers are the champions of incompetence (sorry Will, but english lawmakers cannot compete with ours) and our codes are really exemplary.

I got two for £12 around the same time, plus a Gladstone bag (to carry my tools). Reg Number YJ 52 (or 53, not sure, anyway it had been owned by Archie Scott Brown - who I guess you will know, unlike most of the people on this forum!) It used to seize up quite regularly, and I had to smoke one cigarette before it was ready to go again. Oh and congratulations on your Diamond Wedding - we've got four more years to go!

Today I saw a late 1960's-era (I think) Plymouth Barracuda, so I had to take a photo of the lump. Unfortunately, I only had my cell phone, which seems to have a focusing issue. But here are the photos, anyway. I don't think I have seen one of these things in quite a while. Possibly for good reason.

I agree. Too much white and the big blob of black doesn't do a thing for the looks of the car. So how did you like the yellow car using its wing as a donut box holder? I knew those wings were good for something. I bet a cop drives the car.

This was the first ride on a motorcycle. She would not wear boots and there was no way she was going to get on unless she had her pick of footware..... She has boots now...

It was hard enough to get her to ride. She ended up going about 300 miles and loved it. ( Breakfast and lunch were included.)

Wow, a hot steamy ride with Mr. Wonderful. Do it get any better?
Yah know, having the wife on the bike is a wunnerful thing. Mike finally thought the sidecar was good thing. Then things got kinky!

It was a beautiful sunny day this morning so some interesting cars showed up at Alice's Restaurant today. I'll let you figure out what they are. I liked the Ford Fairlane. The blue race car was unusual. The steps on the right side of the 1930's Ford that are used to access the rumble seat appeared somewhat challenging to use without stepping on the car's body. And what is up with the yellow Ferrari? Don't they make them in red any more?

My brother just sent me these two photos of the Batmobile entering the Dream Machines Show at the Half Moon Bay, CA, airport. I like this older version much better than the newer "Transformer"-style cars.

Agree with you entirely Rich. This version is by far the most mysterious and exotic Bmobile and beautifully executed. The recent "transformer" versions look like the result of bad weed and a CAD program malfunction....

Yesterday I saw this really clean XK-E. I bet it cost the owner a bundle to restore this car. And I also bet that they never looked this nice when leaving the factory.

I will also toss in photos of a row of original Tesla sport cars in various random festive colors.

I wonder if one day this will become a classic Aussie car (even if currently only a track car).
At least the name is a well known Australian name. (the only car manufacturer/driver to win a grand prix championship)

Looks really nice - and really expensive. All of the ladies at the party looked very nice too and they also were likely really expensive.
