It was bright and sunny today here! Too bad it was also about 40 degrees F. I was going to ride the S up to BMW of Pittsburgh, then wimped out - took the VW instead.

    Maybe I'll go out tomorrow.

Ugh 51 degrees this morning. Way to hot. Had to shed the inner liner from my pants and jacket. Opened vents on jacket. Mesh pants felt great! I wish it could be 42 degrees year round! Was already sweating when I got to work.

Now I'm not looking forward to the Summer Commute to work. Need to start looking into Air Conditioning clothing for the Summer.

Nothing like humidity: here, where we are dry, its 52 with a light wind at 8:24AM and cold! It's going to be 76 when I come home from work, and cool.

Sunday, we are expecting 96 as a high, but it'll be a cool 60-something in the morning when I go riding then.

BTW, in 52, non-vented jacket with lining, and in 76, maybe I could take the lining out.

In the 90's I break out the mesh gear. In the 100's I wet my T-shirt and underlings under the mesh, and for the first 30 minutes, my teeth chatter, like getting out of a cold pool on a hot day, with no towel.

Its warm and sunny here (70-80 F) but the wind is gusting up to 60 mph which makes it a typical dust storm in West Texas.

We had mid 60s and sun all week. My bike is in the shop. Today it will be rainy but 70. Then, for the weekend, 40's with a chance of snow.

    Sunny now...

About an hour ago we had a flurry of snow followed by a shower of hail with some thunder and lightning special effects!
Occasionally dangerous ABS, 2nd engine now rebuilt due to piston slap and flaky paint (replaced rocker gasket x8, radiator x2, steering bearings, fork seals, mirrors x2, exhaust x2, pegs x2, EWS, clutch)

Fascinating--too bad the MSF is trying to put Team Oregon out of business. Can't wait until Motorcycle Consumer News gets a hold of this tidbit.

I took the Team Oregon class and it was very well done. TweetyOne, thanks for bringing that to my attention as I have not seen that before.

"Oregon has the country's fewest number of state troopers per capita --one for every 14,285 residents -- and the number has fallen from 665 in 1979 when dedicated funding was cut, to just 331 this year. The average state trooper hands out 18 DUIs, arrests 23 felons during routine traffic stops and investigates 31 crimes a year in Oregon, according to state police."
I thought I might add that.

RP, always welcome. I saw it on the MOA Morning Reads and had to share it with you, my Oregonian bud.

Had a beauty of a commute on the bike today, and then put in $9.90 of premium gas after about 150-175 miles.

Back at you Tweety! The only fly in the ointment for me is I'm on call and can't ride very far. I'll have to put up with riding up to Vista House and back on the old Highway, taking in all the waterfalls along the way.

Went for a ride to Hervey Bay today with a couple of friends (I really do have a couple, well at least they say they're my friends), 440km round trip. It was 24C and sunny when we left Nambour and got to a max of 29C, and no rain for a change. We stopped in at a little village on Sandy Straights, inside Fraser Island, on the way home. Do we have some nice weather or what!

Spring is in the air at last! I'm so happy I spend two hours washing off the last remains of the salt and mud and the bike is clean and shiny again. Now it's fingers crossed winter is really gone.

You can pick on me, RP, in August, that is, if you can find me around, then, as we go 80 to well over 100 with 15-20% humidity every day...

That's my non-riding season, except for an occasional dark-morning leave and same next-day return. Ech!

Mine's perfect riding weather too. Rob, those temps and the dryness have a complete different sense than your impression.

I come from Long Island, NY, by way of a stint in Chicago to here, so I know the difference all to well. The weather is perfect, 330-345 days a year. We rain 7-8" a year, and tonight right now @ 86 degrees, dark, at 7:46 PM local, with a little breeze, it is chilly outside. You'd have to experience it, to believe it.

And if you find this hard to believe, look at this forecast over the next 15 days:

Beautiful neighborhood. Wish I can find a home/neighborhood like yours in Boston!

Beautiful weather today, Saturday and cloudy on Sunday! I'll finally take a ride to the North Shore of Boston and take some pics to share.

Well this entire week has been very high 60F/low 70F, a beautiful blue sky, slight breeze, no humidity at all.
If any of you are ever wanting to visit Northeast Ohio, end of April through mid-June, the finest weather in the world.
On the bike 4 straight days now and counting...

Me too Mike, 4 days this week, three last, getting 52 mpg.

Today was 62 when I left for work, and about 72 coming home in the evening, and 9% humidity. Tomorrow, we spike up with a weather HIGH to 85, 90 Sunday, and then 53 lows, 82 highs mixed with 65 lows, 95 highs, and up and down 'til late May.

Wow! 18 degrees C, full sun and I just had to make a 112 mile trip from home, to a client in rural Berkshire and back in to the office

I've just scraped half the bug population from Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire off my visor...

    Pretty steady here,

If I use it to commute I see high 60's to low 70's in, and high 70's to low 80's going home, and that's dry temp so it would translate to about 50-75 of Miami or NY

Great luck for you Bud! Go for it when you can. Always my motto, and in about 6 weeks, my riding season will become scarce like your is when it rains.

Just got back from a ride up to Noosa and back with Rose. We had a nice lunch at the pub at Tewantin. 26c and sunny, absolutely beautiful (the weather, the scenery, the bike, the ride and the company)
