picked up latest rev (#4) from shop on Friday. dealer did not have any bikes I could use for test fit this week. looking for a volunteer in the Dallas area.. F650/800GS

test fits for 650GS concluded today. still need bike to verify fitment for 800GS... if I cannot get a volunteer from the Dallas area, I will have to wait for another 1-2 weeks for the next 800 that is coming into my local dealer, which I will have the opportunity to work with. this will delay start of production until after that test fit is concluded.

Due to lack of a bike at my dealer to do a test fit on .. (last one that came in, was in and out door same day !) I have not been able to confirm test fit of new the new light bracket kit on the 800GS..

Fitment on the new 650GS model has been confirmed, but on the 800 the horn protrusion under the fender may be a problem/clearance with my reinforcement piece that connects left and right brackets to each other..

IF ANYONE IN THE DALLAS AREA HAS AN 800GS AND WOULD ALLOW ME TO SPEND 5-15 MINUTES TO VERIFY FITMENT, YOU GET A FREE BRACKET KIT, WHEN PRODUCTION IS COMPLETE...

I appologize to everyone that has been patient with the wait. Due to the popularity of the 800 model, they have come in and gone out (pre-sold), in almost same day, which has prevented me from securing any time for a test fit within the last 30 days or so..

I have repeatedly asked for an owner/volunteer from my area (Dallas), and have not received any offers of help to permit me to do a 15-20minute test fit to finalize the fitment for the 800 model. I completed work on the 650's several weeks ago, but cannot move forward until the 800 model is verified.

I have a full time job during the week, which pretty much prohibits me from doing anything related to these projects from Monday thru Friday-noon each week.

I believe what I am going to do, if I cannot verify the 800 within the next week, or so, is to move forward with a F650GS ONLY kit and put-off the 800 model kit until a later date, so I can move on to something else..

I have prototypes for the 800S/ST waiting in the wings, which I should have been working on by now...

Test fit for 800GS completed this morning. Production quote request is in. I should be able to release pricing and availability date for the F650/800GS kits, within a few days.

Production order going out first of week.

All kits are 3-Piece units, w/ a pressed SS pemnut configuration surrounding a 10mm mounting hole, which provides a no drill capability for many PIAA lights and some non-PIAA units, and all pieces will be black, semi-gloss powder-coat.

MSRP is right now 'not set in-stone', but will most likely be $89.95 thru $92.95 per/kit.

I am still working out some minor h/w issues that will affect final price..

Mounting solution looks good - been trying to find this! Any sense as to how much time will pass before you are ready to ship? I'm planning on mounting the PIA Country HID on it - should work well.

Hard to predict ship availability, as shop time is out of my control..

PO will be issued tomorrow, usually at least 2 weeks before I get kits in my hands for packaging...
