32,767 Notifications - issued/Removed awards

Hi, today I've received about 32K notifications.

Is there any issue?

I expect they did a software upgrade last night Joan, many more issues have appeared other than 32k notifications all of which I'm sure will be sorted. This sort of hiccup happens every so often.

Stupid points game, means nothing. It's funny when an awarded point is removed. Like, WTF?
now if they would put money back in my account like the bank does, we'ed be on to something.

I had 32,769 notifications this morning. However, two were "thanks", so that left 32,767 awards. When I went to check on my 32,767 awards, they disappeared - just as if I had tried to locate the position of an electron in an atom. Every day it is something new.

Ha-ha Richard, I have used it as a game, level 100 was something to aim for. I've deluged you with my jokes and I am now on level 100 by the skin of my teeth - then the site crashed, I wonder why? I can see Notacop scratching his head saying WTF but it takes all sorts.

I hope you've enjoyed the jokes though, no gain without pain!

I'm on a biking trip to starting tomorrow taking in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Northern Germany. The forum will be Oxytotless for a while - I know - you'll get by without me!

Are the notifications still out of whack?
Also if you guys want to have a discussion about the removal of the point system, the mod team will have to have the final say.

I've always tought that the point system is useless and probably many problems are due just to the point system, but I know that many users like it so I've never asked to remove the point system.

I picked up another 32,767 awards this afternoon

The rest of the points is crapola.

I'm back from my trip, 2200mls and a tender backside, had a great time!

I quite like the 'likes notifications' although they're not registered anymore mores the pity. I've had up to 20 odd pages of likes/thanks, that means I'd have probably got more like/thanks points than actual user points over time. Probably those who don't care for the points system are the ones who are already at level 100, as I've got to that level now, I don't really care. It would be interesting to hear from members who haven't reached 100 yet to see how relevant it is to them.

Oxy, the numbers by our moniker may represent these points, likes and go to hells. Somehow the importance of them escapes me.
I had one shaming from Dunny I was proud of.
The fact that we got points and somehow we surrendered them is confusing.

Not been on for a while - computer problems! I just seen this thread and had a look at the rankings, looks like I've been promoted to page 1, Flook has disappeared and many on page 1 have only just over 32k points. It wasn't me gov, honest, I've rarely logged in for 2wks or more. Another couple of weeks and I'll be back!

Thank you Lee, yes, vacation could be the word to use. I'm visiting family in the UK which isn't always a holiday especially if my daughter needs shelves putting up or some other activity where I didn't bring the right tools! At the moment I'm nursing a few bruises - see my thread 'sleeping F800' on the discussion forum, so it could be an uncomfortable drive.

Over about a week. The points went haywire over the last few days, saying I had 215% of a level then reverting me to a figure below what I started with

Running a rebuilding tool that should straighten things out. Takes some time, so I'll be back to check on how it went. What should the number be?

Hi Kevin, I'm not absolutely certain. As far as I can remember it was level 98 and over 20000 points and about 20 - 25% towards the next level. I don't check that often so don't know when the glitch occurred

Sorry Chris, it seems that we all are the most active users! I myself had 32k something notifications. It happens from time to time, like ChristopheN usually being awarded 500thousand million points, he obviously upset the website goblins this time as others have stolen his mantle.
