I am a regular user of the F800GT forums via Internet Explorer 11 on a Windows 8.1 desktop PC.

For approx. the last 2 weeks, when opening the 800GT page, a yellow banner appears at the bottom of page saying "Internet Explorer restricted this page from running scripts or Active X". Banner fades away after about 30 secs.
Anyone else see this ? Is my PC at risk?

I have suffered a couple of 404 - site unavailable couple of days ago, but use Google Chrome as browser and no reports from there.
Have you antivirus running? Any logs or reports in there?

I also had that brief site unavailable a few days ago.
Yes, I have a good anti virus programme running and nothing in logs.
No obvious issues but, I am just interested to know why IE started posting that it is restricting use of scripts & Active X by F800 site. Haven't a clue what they are or implication of them being restricted!
I occasionally view forum on my Android Tablet via Google Chrome and no similar warnings there.

I have Googled the issue that I reported in post #1. It appears that Microsoft has feature in IE 11 which detects web sites using out of date Active X and alerts users. So, looks like F800GT site needs an update --- who does that??

Can you post a screen shot of this? I'm curious as to what's going on with IE, seems to have stop some support on it's platform or something.

Microsoft dropped ActiveX support from the Windows Store edition of Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 8. In 2015, Microsoft Edge, the replacement for Internet Explorer, dropped ActiveX support, marking the end of the technology in Microsoft's web browser development.

they've already stopped support for this.

    Lee,
The message appears at bottom of screen then vanishes after about 30 secs.
I will try to catch it tomorrow with "print screen" and try to figure out how to post it.

Have noticed that, for at least last week, the warnings no longer appearing.
Thanks to Admin or whoever fixed it!
