Goldwing Cafe Version

Goldwing has a Cafe version or option available for their 2019 model.

It looked pretty good to me.

I hate to say it but I have yet to see a new Goldwing anywhere during my travels. I don't think they sell very well around here. And maybe not even there.

I don't know, Richard. If word gets out in Seattle that you can get a latte in the cafe version of the Goldwing, there might be a lot more around.

Hey Chris, I loved the video! Never owned a Goldwing, but have put some miles on rented Wings from time to time. None of them had the culinary or massage options though. Might have changed my mind about buying one if they had!

I actually like the new Goldwing. I doubt I'll go for a heavier bike than my GT, but if I did, that would be on the short list.

Yeah, I'm not a big-bike guy any longer. All my bike purchases for the past 20 years have been smaller than the previous bike. The latest version of a Goldwing is really nice and handles and brakes smaller than it actually is (800+ pounds), but it still feels to me kinda like driving a Civic.

I've started riding quite often with two groups of riders. One with the Honda ST1100 and ST1300. The other with the Kawasaki Concours C10 and C14. All those bikes are fabulous. Power. Comfort. Pretty decent handling. They are very attractive bikes to own. But as much as I like them, I won't buy one. I just don't want anything heavier than I have already.

Can I physically handle a heavier bike? Sure. But I don't want to.

The ST1100 was my first cross country bike. Bought a 1999 model new and rode it in all lower 48, put about 65-70k on it with zero mechanical issues. Very good bike for what I used it for, but in the parking lots it was a real pig. Had 7 gallons of fuel, all carried up high and was very top-heavy. Had an engine as smooth and powerful as a locomotive, and was very comfortable on long rides. Never regretted buying it, but never wanted anything like it again either.

Hilarious! Of course BMW had the "culinary option" years ago... Wire a foil wrapped pie onto a boxer head, 100Km later, hot lunch!
