Not only does this new model, to be formally introduced on February 24, look like the BMW F800GT, but it also has a belt final drive and an upright seating position. Unfortunately, it will likely cost about 50% more than the GT and won't go nearly as far on a full "tank": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vg_G...ture=emb_title

Too bad they couldn't afford to record the video during the day time. Or is it so ugly they don't really want to show it?

You are not the only one who has made that comment. I suspect that since the formal announcement is not due until February 24, this is just a teaser and they are trying to hide some of the details of the new model.

It's not just this bunch. Seems a lot of car ads are showing zooming around in the dark. i guess they feels it's artful?

Or they didn't get a permit to make the video ad and are trying to be sneaky so as to get away without paying any local fees to use a public road for that purpose.

So Richard, do you have money down on one? I thought it looked better than the GT and I'm a big fan of belt drive.

It is a very good next step in electric motorcycles. Best thing that I can say is it looks like a motorcycle. Not a weird appliance. If one is to broadly attract motorcyclclists...vs EV enthusiasts only....it has to look like a motorcycle.

Range is still the issue. A sport touring motorcycle must "tour". 60 to 90 miles of aggressive riding before lengthy recharge remains a roadblock. So it really is a better commuter, which remains advancement.

I think the bicycle and scooters will help drive more broad adoption but this a good step and good to see Zero seems to be able to continue to remain financially viable while moving the needle.
