I've had a bad ticker most of my adult life and I'm now in the final stage of heart failure. I get winded standing up and walking from room to room requires a rest. The medicines I'm taking slow the process of deterioration but I feel it progress every day. I want to take this opportunity to thank all my friends and adversaries in this forum who, over the years, have kept my life interesting. I Love You All. I will post something in the "Worst Jokes" thread every day that I am able. When the posts stop, so have I. And always remember, old motorcyclists never die, they're just stuffed into a helmet and left by the roadside. 😜WildWilly aka Bill

Hi Bill, sorry to hear this, mate. And I mean the 'mate' bit.
I hope you hang in there for a bit longer. It makes Ian and my little tussle with the big C sound like a walk in the park. Make the most of what you have left in this world.

That is really terrible to hear, Bill. I hope you can hang on long enough to see your dream of Trump being frog-marched out of the White House by the Secret Service in January. You have my best wishes and I will continue to look for your Worst Jokes every day.

Hang on, is this really from Bill or just someone that has hacked in under his name?
Then again, it could be Bill having a big laugh, to see who really cares
Here comes that closing scene from 'Brian' ....."Always look on the bright side of life..."
'Life' s a piece of shit, when you think of it,
    Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it true.'

Bill--thank you so much for all of the sarcastic humor you posted during these bizarre times! It was part of the morning ritual for months! I've forwarded many a comic screenclip to friends and family. I wish you all the best for peace and comfort as able during this part of life all of us will get to sooner or later, and sometimes suddenly. My riding buddy & older brother just had a stroke out of the blue last week--but is recoverying pretty well so far thankfully. There but for the grace of God go we.

Bill, so saddened to see this. Saw your recent note on selling the bike and guess that makes sense now. I recall meeting at Cass and I wish you well, my friend. Keep the jokes coming...

    Bill,

We haven't met, even in writing, but I was touched by your post. Thanks for sharing with us this final stage of your journey, and for thinking of your moto-buddies as you prepare for the last ride.

We're united in our love of life on two wheels, and your contributions to our little corner of riding culture have been appreciated, and will be here for future readers to enjoy.

I wish you only peace, Bill. Here's one last friendly wave, as we ride past each other on life's highway.

Hi Bill Your recent sad news explains one thing to me. I always wondered where you got the time to trawl through so much dross on line to filter out the gems to offer up as a service to a small community of like minded cynics. Like Richard230 said I hope you last to see the Dumpster frog marched out. I bought an F800 and found this forum and with it the refreshing sanity checks in the Adult forums. After briefly getting "moderated out" for appropriate comments I only returned for your commentary on the idiocy of religion and politics so thank you very much as sanity is typically lacking in these areas. Look on the bright side Bill in that if we are both wrong about there being a god at least it wont matter if you end up in heaven or hell as they will have motorbikes in both places. Might not be the brand you like but heh 2 wheels is all it takes to have fun. I wish you a peaceful journey and to see you on the other side, well maybe, lets see. Regards Paul from downunder

That's keeping it honest and brave WildWilly... Like my childhood motorcycle hero would say. "You don't know if you'll make it, you just have to go like hell".
    Good Travels
