    Hi guys,

I rode one of these beasties in the great state of Western Australia for a week recently, and took some snappies for a magazine story.

Thought I'd share it here for anyone interested, and apologies in advance to Aussies. cheers!

Couldn't think of a nicer unit (K16) for the long flat bits over here... shame you missed the heatwave!

Hoo boy, not only did I miss the heatwave, but I managed to catch rain on 5 of the 7 days I was riding :p Brrr.... As a tropical boy, I sure wasn't used to the idea of cold rain.

Cheeky bugger! It's all about the journey, not the destination Pogi.

The K 1600 is not a Flying Brick. BMW K bikes from 1984 through 2005 are flying bricks.

    this is right.
in italian we call the flying bricks "sogliola" (sole fish).
actually, my K1300S isn't a real flying brick, it is a sort of mutation of the sole fish, maybe we should call the new K bike (starting from the K1200R/S/GT) "the sole fish (or the flying brick) of the day after".
... "flying fish" sounds more kindly and gives the idea of the evolution of species.

anyway this is the section where we, the K bikes' owners, can post our discussions, it's a pole for sole fishes (or if you prefer for flying bricks) and for flying fishes too. where else should we go?
